Mom went to a Henna/Mehndi party for her former art teacher who is Asian Indian. This intricate design is done by hand and though it looks like it should have taken hours, it took about 20 minutes and the tattoo could last up to 21 days. Mom said that right after it was done it was three dimensional and much darker. The lady who did it said that the darker it gets the more your husband loves you. How cool to experience traditions from another culture.

I'm so glad she got to experience it...I never heard about the color change and husband thing...hmmm, I'll have to get another one done soon (LOL).
